How do I rent from amado archive?
It's simple. Select your start date. Wear it like it was always yours. Return it effortlessly.
Will I be charged for return shipping?
Never. A prepaid UPS return label is included with every shipment.
Can I extend my rental period?
Not ready to let it go? We understand.
Email us at contact@amadoarchive.com
with the subject “Rental Extension” and we’ll take it from there.
Can I purchase a rental?
Some pieces are hard to part with. If you’d like to make it yours, contact us and we’ll guide you through acquisition. This only excludes permanent collection items.
Should I wash my rental?
Leave that to us. Return your piece as is. Our care is part of the experience.
How do I return my rental?
Repack your piece, attach the prepaid label, and drop it at your nearest UPS location.
Simple. Seamless.
What happens if I damage or lose an item?
These pieces are meant to be lived in, but also loved.
Stains, tears, alterations, or loss may result in a charge of up to the item’s full retail value if it cannot be restored or returned within 15 days of your due date.
We trust you’ll treat each piece like it's yours.
How can I avoid damage or loss charges?
Wear amado boldly, but thoughtfully. Avoid hard to budge stains, rips or tears, and do not launder your rental. A disposable face cover will also be included in your package to protect the garment from make-up.
Return your piece on time, intact, and free of lasting damage.
What if I return my rental late?
A $30 daily fee will be applied for each item past its return date. Charges will continue until the piece is returned or its full retail value is met.
Can I cancel my rental?
Plans change, we understand.
Cancel at least 7 days before your start date for a full refund.
Within 7 days, you’ll receive store credit (minus a 5% restocking fee).
Once your piece is in transit, cancellations are no longer available.
What if my rental doesn’t fit?
Fit is everything.
Return your unworn piece within 24 hours of delivery and we’ll give you full store credit minus a 10% restocking fee.

In NYC, we can often accommodate same-day or next-day requests.
shipping and returns
Nationwide Shipping
Timing is everything, beloved.
For a seamless experience, we recommend placing your order at least 3 business days before your selected start date.
Your piece will arrive by the end of day on your first rental day, though we suggest beginning your rental 1–2 days early just in case.
Orders placed before the daily cutoff for expedited shipping will be processed and shipped the same business day.
Every shipment includes a complimentary UPS return label.
NYC Courier Delivery
For those in New York City, we offer same day delivery.
Our private courier service operates daily from 12pm–5pm (excluding federal holidays), servicing Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

We recommend being present to receive your piece.
As always, your delivery includes a complimentary return label.
Returns & Late Fees
We allow a one day grace period beyond your rental return date, to return your piece.
After that, a $30 daily late fee will be applied for each day the item is held beyond its return date. These charges will continue until the item is returned or the total equals the piece’s full retail value.
Late fees may be charged automatically or issued via invoice. Unpaid balances will result in restricted access to future rentals.

refunds and cancellations
Can I cancel my rental for a refund?
Plans evolve, beloved.
Cancel 7 days or more before your start date for a full refund.
Within 7 days, you’ll receive store credit, minus a $5 restocking fee.
Once your piece has been dispatched, it is non-refundable.

Can I get a refund on my purchase?
All purchases are final sale. Please chose with intention.
Can I exchange a rental for a different size?
At this time, rentals cannot be exchanged.

Amado permanent collection
Items designated as part of the amado archive Permanent Collection are available exclusively for rental and not for purchase. These pieces are intentionally preserved within amado archive as part of our commitment to sustainability, circular fashion, and extending the life of luxury garments through rental. By keeping select pieces within our permanent collection, we’re able to offer our beloved community continued access to timeless designer fashion without contributing to unnecessary overproduction or waste. Availability may vary depending on rental dates and demand.

Our mission is rooted in sustainability and circular fashion. Extending the life of luxury garments through intentional rental experiences and thoughtful consumption.
fittings and pulls
amado archive offers personalized at-home appointments and virtual consultations for clients, stylists, and industry professionals seeking assistance with sizing, styling, and garment selection prior to confirming a rental or service.
We currently offer:
- Virtual styling and consultation appointments
- At-home appointments within select NYC areas based on availability
- Exclusive daily rates when renting 5+ items at a time
- Domestic shipping options for approved stylist pulls and rentals with free returns
All garments are subject to availability at the time of request.
at-home appointments
amado archive offers personalized at-home appointments with our stylists within select NYC areas for clients seeking a more private and elevated rental experience. During these appointments, clients may preview and try on curated garments prior to confirming a rental.
For any garment brought to an at-home appointment, a Fitting Fee equal to 15% of the value of the rental service will apply. This fee will be credited toward any official rental made through amado archive and is otherwise non-refundable.
At-home appointments require a minimum spend of $300 ($45 minimum fitting fee) and are limited to a maximum of 5 items per appointment. Availability is subject to scheduling and garment availability.
rental terms
To ensure the preservation and longevity of our garments, the following guidelines apply to all appointments, fittings, pulls, and rentals:
- Appointments and temporary pulls are limited to approved time windows unless otherwise arranged
- Late returns may be subject to daily late fees
- Garments may not be altered, hemmed, tailored, cleaned, or treated externally
- Clients and stylists are responsible for any damage incurred during appointments or rentals, up to the full market value of the garment
- Protective styling accessories may be provided upon request to help preserve garments during use
If damage occurs, we ask that garments be returned immediately for evaluation by the amado archive team. Stylists and collaborators are subject to our rental damage policy.
